    Hemanth:

As a regular listener of your songs, I take some freedom this time to tell you what I feel about this presentation of yours.

A talented singer like you, in my humble opinion, should attempt songs of Lata which have become immortal classics rather than some of the run of the mill numbers churned out without any musical conscience by composers like Jatin-Lalit. This song is one of the supreme examples of mediocrity that these people can come up with along with a jaded voice of aged Lataji. Not only is the tune absolutely soulless, the orchestration is irritatingly void. It irks a discerning listener when albums like these compete with those of sincere musicians like A.R.Rehman who spend months to craft each song.

I am sorry to write some cutting comments like this, but after hearing so many beautiful renditions from you,I believe you can do much better than this banal composition. Please invest your voice in reproducing vintage classics of Lata. As a first step, you may take a cue from Pradip who has sung “Oh sajna”. As always, we listeners are there to support you and relish your renditions.

Hi Murali… Thanks for your feedback. I accept it. I agree with you in some aspects.

But, I would just like to mention – “run of the mill numbers churned out without any musical conscience by composers like Jatin-Lalit” wouldn’t hold good to everyone. Its one’s own opinion about music, colors, design, etc. It varies as each one of us are completely different persons. :)

However, singing each type of song goes by as a challenge to me in my step of improving my capability in this field. I would love to try “run of the mill numbers” too once in a while as I have observed them giving me a different experience in singing… Its a different tune to me though to many it sounds irritating. Singing this songs was pretty much another type of challenge to me.

I apologise to have irritated some of my listeners. But, I would surely try to keep up to my listeners’ expectations and try out more challenging numbers in the future.

Regards for such frank feedback Murali. :)

This is not one of my favorites but you have done a good job. At places I felt your pronunciation of ‘gham’ wasn’t right. It sounded like ‘gum’. That’s nothing major.
